Covington, GA – Car Accident on I-20 Near Turner Lake Rd Leads to Injuries
Covington, GA (July 30, 2021) – At 9:23 a.m. on the morning of Friday, July 30, a car accident with injuries occurred in Covington.
According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Turner Lake Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway when they suddenly collided with one another due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was shut down in multiple lanes until police were able to clear the scene.
