Conyers, GA – Officers Investigate Rear-End Collision on I-20 at West Ave
Conyers, GA (December 26, 2021) – On Sunday afternoon, December 26, a car accident with injuries occurred in Conyers.
Per Rockdale County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Exit 80 to West Avenue.
Two vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes when they collided in the left lane. Police did not detail the cause of the incident but say the drivers collided in an apparent rear-end crash.
First responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Police urged those in the area to use an alternate route until the scene was cleared.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
