Conyers, GA (April 15, 2021) – At 1 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, April 15, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on a highway in Conyers.

According to officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Sigman Road. Two or more vehicles collided in the area due to reasons that are not yet known, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police urged those traveling in the area to use Covington Highway as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
