Conyers, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-20 Before Salem Rd
Conyers, GA (October 10, 2021) – At 12:57 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, October 10, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Conyers.
According to Rockdale County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. Some of the involved vehicles went off the side of the road into the median. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
