Conyers, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision Leads to Injuries on I-20
Conyers, GA (January 5, 2022) – At 7:12 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, January 5, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Cartersville.
According to local police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Salem Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the accident. They were taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in two lanes until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
