Conyers, GA – Injury Accident in WB Lanes of I-20 Near W Ave
Conyers, GA (January 3, 2022) – Rockdale County officials confirmed that an injury accident occurred on a major highway in Conyers on Monday, January 3.
At 4:43 a.m. in the morning, Rockdale County deputies were called to the scene of the crash, which took place in the westbound lanes of I-20 around West Avenue and Sigman Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.
Multiple responders, including local paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, multiple lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. This led to delays until the scene was cleared by police.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
