Conley, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-285 Near Moreland Ave
Conley, GA (August 14, 2021) – At 3:49 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, August 14, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Conley.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Moreland Avenue, exit 53. Multiple vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the collision continues.
