Columbus, GA – Woman Killed in Fatal Crash on Buena Vista Rd
Columbus, GA (October 26, 2021) – Around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, October 26, a fatal crash occurred on a roadway in Columbus.
According to Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office deputies, the accident happened on Buena Vista Road. Multiple vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A female driver in one of the vehicles, identified only as a 21-year-old man, was pronounced dead due to traumatic injuries. Two other occupants were injured and taken to local hospitals.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
