Columbus, GA – Two Teens Killed in Fatal Crash on S Lumpkin Rd
Columbus, GA (April 27, 2021) – Around 1 a.m. on Tuesday morning, April 27, two teens were killed in a fatal crash in Columbus.
According to Muscogee County officials, the accident happened on South Lumpkin Road. A driver was traveling in the area when they suddenly lost control and crashed off the side of the road.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. A 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl who were passengers in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene as a result of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
