Columbus, GA – One Killed in Fatal Collision on Victory Dr
Columbus, GA (September 9, 2021) – On Wednesday night, September 8, a fatal collision occurred on a roadway in Columbus.
According to Georgia officials, the accident happened on Victory Drive near the Marathon Drive area. Several vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. At least one victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known if any parties suffered from injuries.
The roadway was closed for two hours as police worked to clear the scene. This led to extensive delays in the area.
