Columbus, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Accident on Jowers Rd at McElvey Rd
Columbus, GA (May 8, 2021) – On Saturday morning, May 8, a multi-vehicle accident took place on a highway in Russell County.
The accident happened on Jowers Road at McElvey Road in Russell County at approximately 8:26 a.m. The person who was injured was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional via ambulance, and it’s unclear if other injuries were reported.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Due to the severity of the crash, two or three lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing, and the cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
