Columbus, GA – Fatal Car Accident at Macon Rd & Primrose Rd
Columbus, GA (July 8, 2021) – On Thursday morning, July 8, a fatal car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Columbus.
According to the Columbus Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Macon Road and Primrose Road. Two or more vehicles allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, which caused them to forcefully collide. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One person, identified as a 57-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the crash.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
