College Park, GA – Major Car Crash on I-85 at Hwy 317 Ends in Injuries
College Park, GA (November 7, 2021) – Around 3:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, November 7, a serious accident occurred in the College Park area.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened on I-85 around the area of Highway 317. A driver was traveling on the roadway when their vehicle was suddenly struck from behind by another vehicle, causing a serious chain-reaction accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. At least two people were transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
It is not known if the at-fault driver was injured or cited for their role in the accident as of yet.
Due to the severity of the collision, two northbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for more than an hour.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
