Cohutta, GA – Two-Vehicle Crash at Upper Varnell Rd & Cleveland Hwy
Cohutta, GA (July 21, 2021) – At 6 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, July 21, a two-vehicle crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Cohutta.
According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Upper Varnell Road and Cleveland Highway. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
