Clayton, GA – Two Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Collision on GA-15
Clayton, GA (October 24, 2022) – Two people sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle collision that took place on a major roadway in Clayton on Friday afternoon, October 21.
According to Rabun County officials, the collision occurred in the northbound lanes of GA-15 at an unknown time. Police confirmed that a 40-year-old woman was traveling north in an SUV when she suddenly rear-ended a Honda Goldwing motorcycle due to reasons that are not yet known. The accident happened when the motorcyclist was stopped and waiting to make a turn.
Several local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The 68-year-old male and 62-year-old woman on the motorcycle were ejected from their vehicle. The two were rushed to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The driver of the SUV did not sustain injuries in the accident. She was charged with following too closely.
