Chickamauga, GA – Two-Vehicle Crash at Johnson Rd & Mission Ridge Rd
Chickamauga, GA (January 2, 2022) – At least one person was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Chickamauga on Friday, December 31.
Walker County officials confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided after entering the intersection at Johnson Road and Mission Ridge Road. The accident happened at 6:05 p.m. in the evening just as the sky was darkening. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages as a result of the crash.
Sources confirmed that various responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No additional details have been released but police continue their investigation into the collision at this time.
