Chickamauga, GA – Truck Crash at GA-27 & Farming Rock Rd
Chickamauga, GA (November 4, 2021) – On Thursday, November 4, a truck crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Chickamauga.
According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-27 and Farming Rock Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it entered the intersection, colliding with a passenger vehicle that also entered the intersection. The two vehicles forcefully collided with each other, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were trapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated by fire crews. The parties were then hospitalized with serious injuries, though their current conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, a portion of the road was blocked for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
