Chickamauga, GA (April 21, 2021) – On Thursday morning, a man was killed in a fatal head-on collision on a major roadway in Chickamauga.

According to police, the accident took place on GA-193 around the area of Nickajack Road. A 38-year-old man was driving in the area when he attempted to pass a vehicle. His vehicle was struck head-on by another car in the area.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The 38-year-old Chattanooga man was pronounced dead at the scene. A female Flintstone resident was hospitalized with a variety of injuries.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
