Chatsworth, GA – Fatal Collision at Smyrna Ramhurst Rd & Will Evans Rd
Chatsworth, GA (June 15, 2021) – At 5:40 p.m. on the evening of Monday, June 14, a fatal collision occurred at an intersection in Chatsworth.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Smyrna Ramhurst Road and Will Evans Road. Two vehicles were traveling west on Smyrna Ramhurst when the driver of the first vehicle struck the second vehicle. This caused both of the vehicles to leave the roadway.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in that same vehicle was ejected and flown to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
