Chamblee, GA – Car Accident with Injuries on I-85 Near Shallowford Rd
Chamblee, GA (July 11, 2021) – At 5:31 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, July 10, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Chamblee.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Shallowford Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Three right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
