Cartersville, GA – Two-Vehicle Collision at Sugar Valley Rd & Rd 1 S
Cartersville, GA (December 22, 2021) – At 2:44 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 22, a two-vehicle collision occurred in Cartersville.
According to Cartersville Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Sugar Valley Road and Road 1. A blue Dodge pickup truck was traveling in the area when, for reasons that are not yet known, the driver struck the back of a black passenger vehicle. The pickup truck then went into a ditch on the side of the road. Both vehicles sustained severe damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
