Cartersville, GA – Rear-End Collision with Injuries on W Ave
Cartersville, GA (July 1, 2021) – At 6:30 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, July 1, a rear-end collision happened in Cartersville.
According to Cartersville officials, the accident happened at 924 West Avenue around the area of Ave Hardware. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when a white sedan lost control and slammed into the back of a black SUV. The front end of the white sedan was severely damaged due to the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes for some time until police were able to fully clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
