Cartersville, GA – One Killed in Fatal Car Accident on I-75
Cartersville, GA (November 3, 2021) – On Wednesday night, November 3, one person was killed in a fatal car accident in Cartersville.
According to Bartow County officials, the accident happened on I-75 around the area of mile marker 285. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person was trapped inside their vehicle and had to be rescued by fire crews. The party was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known if anyone else was hurt.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
