Cartersville, GA – Man Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Cassville Rd
Cartersville, GA (April 13, 2021) – Around 3:30 a.m. on Monday, April 12, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Cartersville.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened on Cassville Road. A pedestrian was walking in the area when he was suddenly struck by a Ford Focus traveling in the same direction.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to assist. The pedestrian, identified as a local 21-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the police. She claimed that she did not see the pedestrian because it was too dark out.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
