Cartersville, GA – Jessea Sisk Killed in Motorcycle Crash at US-41 & Baker Rd
Cartersville, GA (September 29, 2022) – Around 9:05 p.m. on the night of Tuesday, September 27, a man was killed in a Cartersville motorcycle accident at an intersection.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened at the intersection of US-41 and Baker Road. Police confirmed that a man was traveling south on US-41 on a Suzuki motorcycle when he drove into the intersection and was struck by the driver of a GMC Sierra. It is believed that the driver of the Sierra immediately came to a stop and remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has since been identified as Jessea Sisk, was rushed to Grady Hospital by medical helicopter but was tragically pronounced deceased while there. It is not known if anybody else was hurt in the accident.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible so traffic could return to normal.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
