Cartersville, GA – Injury Accident at GA-41 & Mac Johnson Rd Intersection
Cartersville, GA (August 23, 2022) – Several parties were allegedly injured in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Cartersville on Tuesday evening, August 23.
According to Cartersville Police Department officials, the accident happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of GA-41 and Mac Johnson Road. It is believed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide. One of the involved vehicles, identified as a black pickup truck, was severely damaged and sustained a flat tire.
Cartersville emergency crews, including paramedics and fire department officials, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the crash. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were rushed to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked at the intersection. This led to extensive delays in the area.
