Cartersville, GA – Head-on Collision with Injuries on GA-20 Near I-75
Cartersville, GA (May 2, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious head-on collision that took place on a highway in Cartersville on Monday morning, May 2.
According to Cartersville Police, the accident happened in the morning hours on GA-20 around the area of I-75. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they went through the traffic light at the same time, causing them to collide head-on with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident both sustained severe damages as a result.
Several responders, including Cartersville Fire and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
