Cartersville, GA – Car Crash at GA-41 & Grassdale Rd Intersection
Cartersville, GA (August 22, 2021) – At 3:29 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, August 22, a car crash with injuries occurred in Cartersville.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-41 and Grassdale Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide during periods of heavy rainfall. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use caution until they cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
