Cartersville, GA – Car Accident at Joe Stella Dr & Sandtown Rd Intersection
Cartersville, GA (August 14, 2021) – At 3 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, August 13, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Cartersville.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Joe Stella Drive and Sandtown Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area and entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles forcefully collided, which led to extensive damages. The involved vehicles were removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
