Carnesville, GA – Several Vehicles Involved in Car Accident on I-85
Carnesville, GA (July 30, 2021) – At 6:23 a.m. on the morning of Friday, July 30, a car accident involving several vehicles occurred in Carnesville.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Sandy Cross Road, exit 160. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the collision were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured and hospitalized. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes for some time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
