Canton, GA – Tractor-Trailer Crash with Injuries on Knox Bridge Hwy
Canton, GA (August 27, 2021) – Around 8 a.m. on the morning of Friday, August 27, a tractor-trailer crash occurred on a highway in Canton.
According to Cherokee County Police, the accident happened on the Knox Bridge Highway around the Bartow County line. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it collided with a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not fully known. The passenger vehicle was badly damaged and the truck jackknifed in the middle of the roadway.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person, identified as an adult male from inside the passenger vehicle, was seriously injured in the accident. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, though his condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in all lanes of traffic for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
