Canton, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Accident in NB Lanes of I-575
Canton, GA (October 25, 2021) – At 6:16 p.m. on the evening of Monday, October 25, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Canton.
According to Holly Springs officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-575 around the area of Sixes Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, one lane of traffic was blocked for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 5 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
