Canton, GA – Car Accident at GA-20 & Northside Cherokee Blvd Intersection
Canton, GA (July 15, 2021) – At 3:13 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, July 15, a car accident took place at an intersection in Canton.
According to Cherokee County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-20 and Northside Cherokee Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. The vehicles allegedly entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were seriously injured in the crash and taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a short period of time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene. Police urged those traveling in the area to use Highway 140 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
