Calhoun, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Serious Injuries on GA-225
Calhoun, GA (March 13, 2022) – At 10 p.m. on the night of Saturday, March 12, a severe multi-vehicle crash took place in Calhoun.
According to Gordon County officials, the accident happened on GA-225 around the area of I-75. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided on the highway due to unknown reasons. It is believed that one vehicle lost control, setting off a chain-reaction collision. The accident led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Several responders, including Gordon County fire crews and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment by medical helicopter. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
