Calhoun, GA – Injury Accident at Roland Hayes Pkwy & Battle Way Rd
Calhoun, GA (May 26, 2022) – Authorities in Calhoun responded to the scene of a car accident that took place at an intersection on Thursday night, May 26.
According to Gordon County officials, the accident happened after 10 p.m. at the intersection of Roland Hayes Parkway and Battle Way Road. There were reports that two or more vehicles entered the intersection at the same time when they forcefully collided with one another. The involved vehicles sustained severe damage as a result of the collision.
One or more parties, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the accident. The parties involved in the collision were treated at the scene by paramedics and fire crews. The victims were then rushed to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the road was blocked in the area for some time. Motorists in the area experienced delays in the area for some time. They were urged to find alternate routes until the scene was cleared.
