Calhoun, GA – Injury Accident at GA-225 & Old Dalton Rd Intersection
Calhoun, GA (December 14, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Calhoun on the evening of Wednesday, December 14.
According to Gordon County officials, the accident happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of GA-225 and Old Dalton Road. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided at the intersection due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the crash and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues. Police will update with any new information as it becomes available.
