Calhoun, GA – Car Crash with Injuries on I-75 Near Red Bud Rd
Calhoun, GA (May 28, 2021) – At 10:58 a.m. on Friday morning, May 28, a car crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Calhoun.
According to officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Red Bud Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway when they suddenly collided with one another. The vehicles were left with severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were rushed to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. Police urged those traveling in the area to use Highway 41 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
