Buford, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries in SB Lanes of I-985
Buford, GA (August 16, 2021) – At 8:31 a.m. on the morning of Monday, August 16, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Buford.
According to officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-985 around the area of exit 8, Friendship Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
