Buford, GA (August 24, 2021) – Just before midnight on Tuesday evening, August 24, at least one person was killed in a fatal fire just outside of Atlanta.

According to officials from the Gwinnett County Fire Department, the accident happened at a home in the 100 block of Kennesaw Street NE in Buford. A fire department spokesman said the blaze was deadly.

However, no other details, including how many people died or sustained injuries, are available at this time. EMS units were photographed at the scene and appeared to transport at least one victim to an area medical center.

No other information has been released but the investigation into the cause of the blaze continues.
