Buena Vista, GA – Fatal Car Accident Reported at Hwy 26 & McAllister Rd
Buena Vista, GA (May 8, 2021) – On Saturday, May 8, a fatal car crash took place on a major highway in Buena Vista.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, a serious traffic crash occurred on Georgia Highway 26 in Buena Vista.
Authorities with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Marion County Coroner’s Office, along with other first responders, responded to the crash, near McAllister Road.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known if any other parties received injuries.
The roadway was fully blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to find an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
