Brunswick, GA – Woman Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-95
Brunswick, GA (April 6, 2021) – On Saturday, April 3, a tractor-trailer accident occurred on a highway in Brunswick that led to serious injuries.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened on I-95 around the area of mile marker 39. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area at extremely slow speeds due to a mechanical failure. A woman who was also traveling in the area was unable to stop in time, causing her to slam into the back of the truck.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The woman in the passenger vehicle was critically injured and taken to the hospital by a medical helicopter.
The southbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
