Braselton, GA – GSP Investigates Tractor-Trailer Collision on I-85 at MM 132
Braselton, GA (October 7, 2021) – On Tuesday afternoon, October 5, a truck accident causing injuries occurred on a busy highway in the Braselton area.
Georgia State Patrol troopers confirmed that a semi-truck jackknifed and collided with another car on Interstate 85 southbound near mile marker 132. The truck reportedly hit a car right before leaving the roadway around noon.
According to GSP’s initial investigation, a sedan was driving in the right lane of the highway when the tractor-trailer jackknifed, causing the collision.
The drivers of at least two vehicles sustained moderate injuries. Paramedics transported them to area hospitals via ambulance. Authorities did not provide details on their current conditions, however.
The accident backed up traffic for hours as crews worked to clear the scene. The investigation into the cause of the wreck is ongoing.
