Bibb Co, GA – One Killed, Two Injured in Pedestrian Accident at 4400 Knight Rd
Bibb Co, GA (April 4, 2021) – One man is dead and two other people are injured after a fatal collision occurred early Sunday morning.
Per reports from authorities, an 18-year-old is dead after a car crashed into a vehicle he was standing next to. The incident occurred in front of a Bibb County residence in the 4400 block of Knight Road. The collision was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center around 12:30 a.m.
According to deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a Chevrolet 2500 driven by a 48-year-old man was traveling northbound on Knight Road. His vehicle took a slight curve, crossed over into the opposite lane, and then collided with a Ford F-150 that was parked in front of a residence.
Authorities say that an 18-year-old man was standing outside of the Ford F-150 and two other men were sitting inside of the vehicle when the collision occurred. The two men who were sitting inside of the truck were transported to the Atrium Health Medical Center in Navicent for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved in the incident was also transported to the hospital for treatment. Once released, he was taken into custody.
