Between, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Accident at US-78 & Youth Monroe Rd
Between, GA (March 15, 2022) – On Tuesday afternoon, March 15, a car accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Between, Georgia.
According to local officials, the accident happened at the intersection of US-78 and Youth Monroe Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one entered the intersection and caused a forceful collision. One of the vehicles, identified only as a sedan, landed in the median and sustained heavy damages as a result of the accident.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their current conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for some time, which led to delays in the area. Police urged those in the area to avoid the area until the scene was cleared.
