Ball Ground, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision in NB Lanes of I-575
Ball Ground, GA (January 2, 2021) – Cherokee County officials responded to a car accident with injuries on Saturday evening, January 1.
According to officials in Ball Ground, the crash happened at 7:18 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-575 around the area of Appalachian Highway. Multiple vehicles were traveling on the highway when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. Fire crews had to extricate one or more victims from their vehicles, who were then transported to hospitals by ambulance. Their conditions are not known at this time.
One right lane of traffic was blocked for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
