Bainbridge, GA – Teen Injured in Pedestrian Crash on S Wheat Ave
Bainbridge, GA (August 24, 2022) – Around 3:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, August 22, a teen was hurt in a pedestrian accident in Bainbridge.
According to Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened on South Wheat Avenue. A 14-year-old pedestrian was walking in the area at the same time that a Toyota Camry was traveling in the area, driven by a 43-year-old woman. The teen stepped into the roadway and the Camry driver was not able to stop in time, striking the pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The teen was injured as a result of the accident. He was rushed to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the road was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
