Bainbridge, GA – Student Injured in Pedestrian Accident at Bainbridge Middle School
Bainbridge, GA (August 22, 2022) – Around 3:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, August 22, a high schooler was injured in a pedestrian accident in Bainbridge.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened on a roadway at the Bainbridge Middle School. A freshman was walking in the area so that they could catch a bus from the middle school. They were suddenly struck by a small passenger vehicle that was traveling in the area as they were crossing the street. It is believed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene. The high schooler, who has not yet been formally identified, sustained injuries in the accident. They were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the crash, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for some time.
