Augusta, GA – Two-Vehicle Collision with Injuries at Washington Rd & Alexander Dr
Augusta, GA (November 14, 2022) – Two vehicles were involved in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Augusta on the night of Sunday, November 13.
According to Richmond County officials, the accident happened at 9 p.m. at the intersection of Washington Road and Alexander Drive. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with one another. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. It is believed that one of the drivers involved in the accident was injured. The party was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, though their condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic at the intersection until the scene was cleared.
