Augusta, GA – Three Injured in Car Accident at 2nd Ave & Boykin St
Augusta, GA (April 8, 2021) – Serious injuries were reported following a car accident that occurred in the Augusta area on Thursday evening, April 8.
Deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident around 5:30 p.m. and say that it occurred at 2nd Avenue and Boykin Street.
Upon arrival, deputies were able to determine that three occupants in one of the vehicles involved sustained serious injuries.
The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment and both passengers were evaluated as well, though their current conditions are unknown.
The intersection was closed for several hours while deputies investigated the events leading up to the collision.
The crash is still under investigation, and no further details about the cause of the accident have been released.
