Augusta, GA – School Bus Accident at 5th St & Fenwick St Intersection
Augusta, GA (September 22, 2021) – At 8:29 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, a school bus accident occurred at an intersection in Augusta.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of 5th Street and Fenwick Street. A school bus was traveling in the area when it collided with a passenger vehicle at the intersection due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles both sustained damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the passenger vehicle was injured in the collision. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Luckily, no students obtained injuries in the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
